BENEFITS
- Accidental Death
A lump sum cash compensation as specified in the Schedule of Benefits
is paid as a result of accidental death to the insured person while
travelling.
- Total Permanent Disablement
If you suffer total permanent disablement while travelling, you will
receive cash compensation as per the Schedule of Benefits.
- Medical Expenses
Should you be accidentally injured while travelling, we will reimburse
you the medical expenses incurred up to a limit as specified in the
Schedule of Benefits. This benefit is also extended to include medical
expenses incurred if you fell ill while overseas.
- Baggage Delay
Should your baggage be delayed by more than 12 hours of the time of
arrival at the scheduled destination outside your home country, we will
reimburse you for any emergency purchase of essential items like clothing
and toiletries. This is subject to the limits specified in the Schedule
of Benefits.
- Loss of Baggage/ Personal Effects
We will pay you for the loss of or damage to your luggage and/or personal
effects while travelling up to a limit as specified in the Schedule
of Benefits
If your travel documents are also lost, we will also pay for the cost
of replacement of up to RM1000.00
- Trip Cancellation
Should your planned trip be cancelled due to your death, serious sickness
or injury or similarly of a member of your immediate family, damage
to your residence due to natural disaster or outbreak of infectious
epidemic at the travel destination, we will reimburse your necessary
pre-paid (non-refundable) expenses up to a limit as specified in the
Schedule of Benefits.
- Flight Delay
We will pay you RM200 for every 8 hour delay at any departure point,
subject to an overall aggregate of RM2000.00 in the event that your
flight / sea voyage is delayed due to:
- Strikes/ Industrial Actions by airport/port workers
at departure and/or disembarkation point.
- Adverse weather conditions at departure and/or
disembarkation point.
- Technical problems encounter by aircraft or vessel.
- Closure of airport at departure and/or disembarkation
point.
- Hijacking Inconvenience
In the event that the craft in which you are travelling is hijacked,
we will pay you RM200.00 per day of the craft being detained by the
hijackers up to maximum of RM2000.00
- Curtailment Expenses
If your planned travel is curtailed due to the following:
- Serious injury or illness where medical advice
has been sought for you to cut short the journey,
- Unexpected death, serious injury or illness
of your spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law or the companion
you are travelling with,
- Hijacking of any conveyance you are travelling
in,
- Natural disaster occurring at the departure or
disembarkation point which prevents you from continuing your trip,
- Outbreak of infectious disease in the destination
country whereby an official travel advice has be issued by either
the country or World Health Organisation.
We will compensate you for any irrecoverable prepaid travel costs and
based on the pro-rated number of unutilised days of your trip package
in addition to the extra flight charges incurred (if any) up to a limit
as specified in the Schedule of Benefits.
- Rented Car Accident Reimbursement
In the event of an accident, we will reimburse you for the cost that
the rental company may charge up to a maximum of RM2000.00
- Missed Connections
If your incoming flight is delayed, causing you to miss your connecting
flight, we will pay an allowance as stated in the Schedule of Benefits.
- Personal Liability
Should you become legally liable to pay a third party for accidental
bodily injury or accidental property damage while travelling, we will
pay for indemnities incurred subject to the limits stated in the Schedule
of Benefits.
General Exclusions
- War, civil war and related risks
- Terrorism
- Suicide or attempted suicide, self inflicted injury,
diseases.
- Childbirth, pregnancy, miscarriage or any complications
thereof.
- Pre-existing physical or medical conditions, physical
or mental defects or infirmity.
- Radiation, contamination by radioactivity or nuclear
weapons material.
- AIDS, AIDS-related complex and sexually-transmitted
diseases.
- Engaging in ice hockey, sky diving, horse riding,
hand gliding, hunting, steeple chasing, bare hand rock or cliff scaling,
parachuting, horseback polo playing, boxing, wrestling, hunting, motor
sports rallies or competitions, speed testing or demonstration, reliability
trials, racing of any kind other than on foot or professional or semiprofessional
sports.
- Whilst serving in any branch of the Armed or Police
Forces (whether voluntary or otherwise) of any country.
- Whilst serving in any fire fighting services or agencies
(whether voluntary or otherwise).
- Whilst committing or attempting to commit any criminal
act.
- Whilst under the intoxication of alcohol or drugs
unless prescribed by medical practitioners.
Important Notes
- You and your spouse must be between 18 and 65 years
old. Your children must be aged between 3 months and 18 years (or 23
years, if they are in tertiary education).
- Easi Travel is only applicable to Malaysians, Permanent
Residents and work permit holders who are legally employed in Malaysia.
- You can only purchase one such Policy for the same
journey.
- The maximum period for any one journey is 90 days.
- The Policy shall be interpreted in accordance with
the law and jurisdiction of Malaysia.
- In the event of a claim, please contact any OAC branch
or your agent as soon as possible and submit all original receipts,
invoices and other relevant documents.
